Sooz was right!

Ok, now for the further ramblings of my experience with silimide (?) I think I actually like it! It doesn't fray as bad as the nymo (and I've been using that for YEARS) (This means I don't have to waste as much. I can go all the way to the end of the thread before having to add more vs. only using about 1/2 of what I cut off of the nymo) It works up well. My only complaint it that's it's a little harder to thread. So, now I've got to get ALL the colors! (of course, right?) So, I currently have white nymo and black silimide. Any suggestions for some basic colors? I use just about every color seed bead there is. Grey? Blue? Off-white? White? (of course this will be when I run out of the nymo) Tan? Purple? Red? Just the basic primary colors? Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Gray will blend with most anything. :)

My must-have Silamide colors: Black, Light Gray, Natural, Purple. I also have Dark Blue and Dark Green, but I don't use those as much.

Natural works better for many very light things than White, IMO, and the Light Grey works with just about every medium-to-lighter color out there. Purple is wonderful with many different colors, not just with purple beads. And for anything darker than medium, black is perfect.

Something I just discovered... Japanese needles are easier to thread Silamide on than English needles... which figures, because I prefer the English ones for weaving!
