Started a Picture Trail Album

These are my attempts at learning. No laughing please. I don't normally show my stuff. I'm having heart palpitations as it is. I figure if KathyNV and Candace can do it, I can do it.

Good job! I especially like the storyteller. I would love to do one someday, with me as the storyteller, and all the children who have been in my life around my skirts...

thanks for sharing!

Elegant comes to mind with your beadwork.

I adore your story teller.

Ohhhh how sweet--you made me an expresso bean necklace with matching earrings to boot! *grinning*

Seriously, I'm agog with admiration, Debbie--I can't do any of that! And you do it SO WELL! Dayum.

Nice stuff you have there! Could I make a suggestion? You do polyclay, you do beaded ornanments... now.. think of the old reeses peanut butter cup commercials... polyclay covered ornaments with a tarting up layer of beads... Sound tempting? Its something I want to try down the road... not netted ones like yours but something a little different. Thanks for being brave and sharing! Diana

Diana, That is so wierd. I just got a huge box of glass ornaments and am taking the crud & dirt off. Then watch out clay. Cause I'm covering a ton of them for gifts this year. lol

Its fun!!! I did that.. not tons of them, but a couple different sorts. I have them in the polyclay folder in yahoo..

My two latest ideas are to make quilt block canes for non Christmassy ornaments and the other is to make *fuzzy idea ahead warning* ... knobs with holes to put bead strings thru, or holes thru the clay at an angle to also allow bead wire/stringing material thru somehow. Tis the season to bake clay! Oh.. one warning, I was teaching a friend to cover the balls with clay and she put to much pressure on it and.. well... you can guess the rest. Diana

I love this. It sounds so much like my oft used phrase "If a trained chimp can do it, so can I!"

I love your work - but the paua stuff made me miss Harry. Wish he'd come back.

I miss him too.

I didn't mean that in a derogatory way at all. I just meant that with all the physical problems you keep going. Right now you are my inspiration. I'm finding it hard, but then I stop and say "What would KathyNV do?" kind of like wwjd. And I push on. It's working so far. I'm in a hellish depression right now, but I am slowly cleaning my crafting room.

Sorry, not making much sense right now. lol

Thank you - I sure laughed after that one.

Keep at it! there is something about purging and organizing that gives you an illusion of control and helps you feel better. Well for me anyway, when I can push on, like you.

I didn't take any offense, and I thought it was funny. The "what would KathyNV do?" part is scary, since I mess up at least as often as I succeed.

Just plugging along,
