My friend is afraid to wear her new bracelet that I put two of the baking soda beads on. After annealing for an hour are they durable or susceptible to cracking still? Both of them are encased in clear.

Starlia, I think the jury is still out on the baking soda beads concept. Personally, I haven't had any troubles with the ones I've encased. In my opinion, the annealing aspect has little to do with the baking soda aspect because of the chemical change the soda lime glass (Moretti) undergoes when exposed to the baking soda. Tell your friend to wear them 24/7 and report back to us regarding their durability. That would be cool...
