What I've done today...........

Well, it has been one yucky day. Flooded roads and major vehicle issues - I could have done without both, especially the second.

After Keith and I went out for supper, I thought I'd sit downstairs on the sofa, light the fireplace, turn on the TV, and get some beading done. I managed to finish a double row RAW crystal bracelet and started a twisted Ndebele necklace. I bought the prettiest glass holly leaf pendant at Bead Fest last October and was trying to figure out what kind of necklace to put it on. A friend suggested a 4-bead Ndebele made with 15° seed beads. I've only recently learned how to do this - and that was with 8° seed beads. BIG difference. I really like the way the twist looks with the smaller beads. I have about 2" completed in about an hour and a half. Not something I can spend a long period of time on - I have to take my glasses off to see the beads. (Progressive lenses don't work well with beading.)

This weather is crappy but it does lend itself to guilt-free beading!

Wow - Ndebele with itty bitty beads! I'd love to see how that turned out. I have only ever done it with larger, octagonal shaped beads, so that I get the angled look.

I'll have to scan in the little bit that I have finished. (I'll have to figure how how to activate the free space my ISP offers.) It's been a bit of a challenge just because of the size of the beads but it is so pretty! When I looked at those beads and saw how teeny they were, I thought Pat was nuts but I'm glad she is. It's going to be very cool.

I'm also working on a beaded pouch I started last summer. I had maybe four rows down (if that) and decided it's time to get serious about it. I have almost ¾" done. I need really good lighting though. The colors kind of muddy together in regular incandescent lighting and I've never spent the money for a daylight bulb. Maybe it's time.
