My comp crashed almost two weeks ago, nad I have jsut got it all back together. I installed new RAM, and it crashed my whole system, had to reformat, and all that *fun* stuff :-\ I didn't lose anything, fortunately, but reinstalling everything and resetting all my accounts has taken a long time.
Anyway, it's good to be back :o) While I was *away*, I bought beads 8-D I got some of Harry's Paua pendants. They're SO NICE. I love to just hold them; beautiful, and smooth, and a good weight....jsut one of those things that feel good in your hands :o) I've already made up a pendant with some, and took pics, but I can't post 'em 'till I find & install my graphics software.
My LBS has ONE sale a year, and I caught it this week :o) They had a lot of new stuff in, and it was really exciting. I spent only about $50, after the
25% off. I got a bunch of fancy jasper, yellow jade, and itty bitty faceted briolettes. These thigns are so tiny, they're adorable :o) I have a lot of designs in my sketchbook using these beads, but I have never found them at a decent price (everyone wants me to buy a whole strand, at $40+). I bought 6-8 in a handful of colors for $0.59/pc. Still not a great price, but I could buy small amounts, so I'm ok with it. Now I have to wait a month or so, get some more orders, and make some more money.....I bought beads, but failed to save any $ to replenish my wire stash *sigh*While at the LBS, a woman came in with a strand of large olive-y colored turquoise nuggets. She asked me if I was a good designer, and wanted some help picking out spacers for the beads. I showed her some stuff in my sketch book, and suddenly the whole store was crowded around me, puffing me up ;o) One lady even asked if she could buy a page of it! LOL Well, the lady with the turquoise didnt end up taking my suggestions, but it still felt nice :o) And it helps that she ended up picking some gorgeous Bali spacers for the turquoise :o)
Alright, that's about it (well, not really, it HAS been two weeks ;o)......but that's enough ;o) LOL I hope you are all doing very well, and I hope you all had wonderful Valentine's Day :o) Please update me if there was anything major that I missed (anyone in the hospital? anyone finish a major project? anyone get published????)!
