Yesterday was Weird

I think it was last week, and I think it was here. We were talking about getting outside, even briefly, and I said something about getting out more often if I have to use the outhouse. Well, on Sunday, the sewer kinked and froze. I live on an ice lens, and just like ice in an ice cube tray that is returned to the freezer, the ice forms humps and causes the house to shift, changing the angle of the sewer pipe. No water is bad, but no drainage is even worse so we had the pipe fixed the next day (thinking it was a simple clog, at first). Be careful what you say might be a good idea.

Two days later the water started acting up. The water tank was getting icy around the edges, taking up water I would otherwise be able to pump into the tap. Yesterday the water truck came ad filled the tank. Not only did that give us more water, but the movement of the water and the mass of the water brings up the temperature of the water in the tank so water was back to normal.

Also Pete got back from Anchorage on the week-end, and my schedule went to hell, and I didn't take all my meds. So I was feeling kind of blank. So I took my meds and shortly later I had this frenetic anxiety and also a terrible feeling of anxiety. Like someone was screaming at me for help. Haven't had either of those freaky feelings for a long time. Still don't know what it was. Drugs? Hormone spike? Someone in trouble?

I'm glad to be back to "normal" (a relative term of course).

And Anchorage isn't on frozen ground.
