A Must See!

OOooooooh, I promised myself I wouldn't get on here until AFTER I finished my work for the day, but this is just too good to pass up. I bumbled into some beautiful old needlework today at:

and I have to wonder if some of these works weren't 'lifetime achievement' projects. There's a pair of needlework panels there from 1720 that are 99 inches X 32 3/4 inches. Geez, if I had time to do that, I'd be in heaven! Maureen In Vancouver, B.C.

Oh, ain't it grand! The curvy leaf embroidery is featured in Weldon's Encyclopedia of Needlework and it is one of those pieces that was instrumental in getting me to learn more.

Somehow I dont think my Wentzler Castle Sampler even comes close to some of these pieces ;) (must be 15 years its been going!
