WOW - thanks for posting this - it has a couple of the old DMC booklets that I have been trying to win on eBay for ages! At least now I can browse the contents before deciding if I want to part with astronomical prices that these relatively rare pieces fetch.

You get to work at BCPV AND get paid to stitch!?! What a great job. I haven't been to the village in awhile, but I have always loved it. A few years ago we took some English relatives there in September. The staff were doing a demonstration of cooking corn on the cob in a giant iron pot over an open fire outside. The English visitors could not get over how good fresh c-o-t-c was right out of the garden, quickly cooked and served piping hot with a little butter and salt. The stuff you get in the grocery store just can't begin to compete.

Isn't it amazing how often our stitching discussions evolve into food discussions :)
