Christmas Angels

Does anyone know where I can find the leaflet from Dimensions called Christmas Angel Ornaments? I did a google search and did not find anything.

I just completed the finishing on Gordan Lanes' Angels on High and would like to continue the theme for my christmas decorations this year. Also, I would be very interested in knowing if you are familiar with any other angel patterns that are not folk artsy. I love the Lavendar and Lace angels but I'm looking for designs that are more in the size range of 4 * 6 inches or so.

I would also like a referral for a good source on finishing cross stitch.

Thanks. Theresa

Poke around tiag.com and find the angel freebies, which are about that size, and by the same designer.

Hi, Theresa -

Donna Giampa (Vermillion Stitchery) has some pretty angel ornaments. Check out the Christmas ornament section on

Not really to "blow my own horn" but I have a few angels at my website, two are baby angels -- "Stars" (Abigail) and "Whispers" (Caroline). They're both kits and can be purchased at your local LNS.

Mirabilia has some gorgeous free angel charts that would be suitable as ornaments --

They've evidently "revamped" their site, but look at the bottom of the page there and you'll see the link. Enjoy!

If you like Hardanger designs, you should take a look at Hanky Panky Designs yearly angels...

Nordic Needle carries them, as do other places I'm sure:

Lavendar and Lace has the free angels, which are small

Someone else mentioned the Told in a Garden freebie angels. I've stitch quite a few of these on plastic canvas (14 count) which makes finishing them a breeze. Since they are mostly full stitches with few or no half or quarter stitches, you have to make very few adaptions. I've also stitched Just Nan's angels for the tree - they are not quite so easy on the plastic since they have speciality stitches and half and quarter stitches. However, they can be adapted, or stitched on linen and then finished as ornaments.

I've also done a number of Prairie Schooler ornaments (although there are only a few angels) for the tree finished as little 'pillow' ornaments.
