I have an illustrated King James Bible that's about 40 years old. I'd like to chart some of the old pictures in this Bible for needlepoint. Does anybody know what the copywrite laws on Bible Illustrations might be?
TIA

I would expect the copyright to be held by the publisher of that particular bible, since the text is clearly public domain.

I don't know about Canada, but in the US the copyright runs for something like 70 years.
The easiest thing to do is contact the publisher, tell them what you want to do, and ask how to get permission to do it. They might tell you to go ahead, they might ask for a small licensing fee, etc.
