What works best and how do you get it bright? Suggestions? I know Crayola brand crayons work better, but are the fabric crayons even better?

unless they have improved, I found the fabric crayon colours quite dull. I have used the regular crayons to better effect, and usually go for a sort of faded nostalgic look (less work!!). But if I wanted a richer colour, I would try colouring, ironing, then colouring and ironing again, essentially laying down layers of the pigment, until I got the depth I wanted. I have used this to do laying of colours--sort of melting them together.
