Current Favorite Stitching Tool?

I bought a Daylight floor lamp last month. I love it. I can stitch at night again.

Aren't they wonderful? I bought an Ott light probably15 or 16 years ago and am still on the same bulb! They are long lasting because I have put in a lot of evening hours using it. Deb

In addition to the lamp, my favorite tool is my spring loaded tension hoop. I have several sizes and shapes. They are great for keeping slippery fabric nice and night, and leave no hoop marks.

DH's laser level!!! :)

Saturday night I was trying to work on my BAP, The Dreamer, which was still on q-snaps. It kept falling out of my stand's clamp (I thought I finally had that problem licked, too). I gave up and decided to trim the fabric to fit in the scroll rods I have (the sidebars are squared, so my stand can hold them better than the q-snaps's rounded edge). We spent entirely too long trying to figure out how to get a straight edge down 30" or so of fabric. We were trying to use pins to mark the edge, when I started poking around for a large ruler I swore we had. Suddenly, "umm..hon, don't we have a laser level?" "Oh, right." Gee, remembering THAT would have saved us a lot of time! So, yeah, that's my favorite tool at the moment. :)

What a great idea! I'll remember that next time I take on an extra large project.
