Why don't you try

I have no affiliation, other than being a very happy customer for a number of years. In fact, if you actually use the telephone, and talk to Tracy or one of her staff, I am sure they will tell you exactly the fabric you need!!

I'm always shocked to find out that other people get decent service from Silkweaver. My one experience was so awful I won't deal with them ever again.

I've consistently gotten good service from

they have a toll free number: 1-877-325-4060. They charge actually postage for shipping, and cut to order, rather than forcing you to buy fabric in 6" or 9" increments like some shops. The people there are very knowledgeble and are all stitchers themselves.

What`s that one near you, Gill? Miami stitches, or something. I can`t remember the name exactly, but I`ve had wonderful service from her. I bought some pregridded Aida from her - and she even brought some over to England for me when she came.

I wouldn't exactly say that Miami is near enough for Gill to stop in on her way to the grocer. I'm guessing it's about 300 miles away. You forget, Florida is a long, narrow peninsula.

Well - relatively speaking, I meant - at least in the same state!

I really don't know any of the south Florida shops, Pat. I avoid going down to Miami/Dade and Broward counties like the plague! There are FAR too many human beings crammed into that one little piece of Florida, and talk of aggressive driving! I always feel I need an extra dose of my Blood Pressure medicines when we go down there.

It is sad that so many LNS are going out of business though. The Internet shops have so much more choice to offer folks; especially when you think of the space and inventory the normal LNS has to contend with. I went into Caroline's shop ( my LNS) after being gone for a couple or three months. It was such a pleasant surprise to see many of the newer designers charts on show.

Rather like saying that you are near to Glasgow, so to speak LOL. I don't remember the actual distance from the north of Fl to the south, but it must be at least 400 miles; that isn't counting the zag to the west on I-10 through the panhandle!

Well, you don`t have to GO there! I that that it`s not going to cost much to post it compared with it being in another country! I`ve discovered why everyone`s being so pedantic - it`s a new moon (well - first quarter, to be exact!)

Well if you get to hear of them, let me know - I forgot her real name.

Zweigart doesn't make Dutch Blue anything anymore, so you may not be able to find an exact match. You might try French Blue/Blue Sprice(931), Colonial Blue(793), or Amsterdam Blue(3768) 16 ct aida (or 32 ct lugana/jobelan/linen if you prefer to stitch over two). (the numbers in parentheses are an approximate DMC equivalent so you can get an idea of the color.)

Sources for those fabrics would be: Mary Jane's Cross N Stitch Stiches N Things Silver Needle
