Happy Dance - My Sweet Bag is Finished!

Dec 20, 2006 10 Replies

This morning I put the finishing touches to my Sweet Bag, from #51 Inspirations, and have taken a pic of it to share. I'm absolutely thrilled with it, though I have yet to work out how to tease out the thread in the tassels.

I have also photographed the UFOs that come readily to hand, in the vain hope that I will shame myself into completing some of them.

It's GORGEOUS! No wonder you're happy dancing!

To tease out the tassels, I used to just sit and "groom" them with a straight pin. But then I discovered that the Bunka brush does it in no time at all - it "combs" out the threads.

It's so beautiful! Well done! Jeanine in Canada

Thanks for the link it jogged my memory, I have a tiny little brass wire brush, that once upon a time cleaned my suede shoes. Suede shoes long since gone to shoe heaven, but the brush teased out the tassels perfectly.

hmmmmmmm ... that looks like it would do a better job than Judy' booboo stick that I've been using since taking a class that included brushing out turkey work.

Gorgeous!!! That design is on my to do list. I was thinking of using it as a front pocket or an embellishment for a purse or tote bag.

Oops -- the rendition is still gorgeous but my sweetbag design is from Embroidered Bags and Purses. It's also by Susan O'Connor. I may stitch them both!!!!!!!!

It probably would. It's a nice little brush - not very big - but handy.
