Indeed it is Summer albeit not blazing sunshine. Sunrise today was 3:59 am, sunset will be 10:29 pm. Living at 59 degrees North sometimes gives one an advantage. Bruce
Not quite as good as you - 43 degrees north, sunrise at 5:26 a.m. and sunset at 8:57 p.m. Temps - 24 degrees C today

Basically same latitude as Marg, so basically same sunrise/sunset, but we beat you by a mile on the temp ... currently 100F/38C, and may go higher before the official number is released in about 2 hours.
Isn't it interesting. Most people would say that Ontario is waaaaaaay farther north than California (and indeed considering that we go as far north as 56 degrees, much of it is), but the most southerly point in Ontario (and in fact Canada) is Pelee Island which is at 41 degrees north, the same as northern California.
Doncha just love useless trivia?

I don't enjoy summer -- haven't since I went through mental-pause. Best thing I can say for summer is that it will soon be autumn and starting to cool off again -- LOLOL! I will have to say that it's been a lovely, mild spring and early summer for Magnoliaville, especially compared to the last two years. I'm hoping that once DH retires and we are back to the AZ high country where the summers are usually quite nice, I'll be able to enjoy ALL the seasons again! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

"Annette from NZ" wrote Best WINTER solstice greetings from NZ, 41S, 173E sunrise 7:53am, sunset 5:05pm at my place, We have been getting some nice frosts, but no snow yet.
aaah, that's where our frost went---it dripped down to the bottom of the globe! It is finally a lovely early summer here on the Canadian prairie, and actually green, since we have had more rain than usual (it doesn't last---this land is not meant to be lawn country!). I have driven home from the work last few night with the top down on the convertible enjoying the full moon.
