Hi Guys, I'm in the Valley to get the SMDGD and take her back to the mountains for the holiday weekend. I haven't done much in the way of needlework but I HAVE gotten DD's Egyptian fabric quilt put together and am almost finished pin bastin it. Once THAT chore is done and the beast is quilted (it's 76" X 86") I'll be able to concentrate on some stitching. The stitching I need to get back to working on is the Curtiss P-40 WWII airplane for DH. It's the one I will stitch for Janet so that she can get it framed and then give it to DH for Christmas. OY -- I just remembered that I need one more color of floss and forgot to write down the number somewhere!!! Oh Well -- it's not like it's the end of the world. I just wanted to have the whole thing stitched before DH get here on 19 Sept. I guess that last color will just have to wait until I get back to Magnoliaville. I wasn't going to get it back to Janet until we go to the Celebration of Cross Stitch "do" in October so I will have plenty of time to work on the last little bits when DH is off to work. My Spring bell pull is still languishing on the sofa at the cabin. I did remember to put it into a plastic bag so that Cassie (Baby Cat) the Himalayan, won't be able to lay on it and get it covered in her long pussy cat hair!!! I spent the first few weeks at the cbin working on the dresses, etc. for the SMDGD. Once that was done, I started on the Egyptin quilt. In between times (which means more often than not -- LOL) I just sat and read my book and rsted! It has been heavenly -- all alone with just the cat, the crazy crows, the kamikazi hummingbirds and the silly squirrels to keep me company. I think I might make a really good hermit as long as I can get to a computer and into town every so often. OK -- enough said. Just wanted to say HI and keep in touch. Hope there are no disasters among the group -- I won't know about them because there is NO WAY I will slough through the group using Google! I still have 4+ weeks before I head back to Magnoliaville -- HOORAY!!!! CiaoMeow >^;;^<
