ISO: cross stitch nutcracker pattern

I'm looking for a pattern about 4 inches tall. All the ones that I have found have either been too small or too large. I tried web-searching, but the patterns I found did not have size info. I'm not a regular member of this group, but would appreciate any help. Thanks everyone.

Welcome to the group! I was just looking at your webshots album. Your quilts are gorgeous!! Tia Mary, go check them; you are one of our big quilters!

me, on the Waiting for Spring quilt, are the birds also quilted ( can't see how you could do that) or are they embroidered? The Northern Lights is also totally spectacular!! How I envy you your skill and patience. I think quilters have a lot more patience than I could ever possess!!

I will check through my stuff, just in case I have a small nut-cracker chart. of course, if it is too big, it could be stitched on a smaller count fabric, which would reduce the size.

Incidentally, which Kingston? I can think of several off-hand.

If they don't have size info, you can divide the number of stitches by the number of stitches per inch of the fabric you chose to use to get the size.

Hi Susan, good to see you here :-). EVERYONE -- Susan is GOOD people from over at RCTQ. Gillian -- I have looked at Susan's Webshots page in the past and she DOES have awesome quilts. Now, about this nutcracker, how close to 4" does the design need to be? Also, will you be stitching it on aida or an even weave fabric like linen? Remember to check the fabric count on the designs you have looked at. If something is too big but the size info is for 14 count, you could always stitch it on 16 or 18 count fabric and the design would come out smaller. The same if the design is too small -- just stitch on 12 or 10 count fabric. So -- first off let us know what type & count fabric you will be stitching the design on, OK? If you have a design you like but it is too big or too small, let me know. I will check my stash to see if I have a different count fabric of the type you want to use and maybe that would solve your problem. Regardless, we DO need to know the count fabric you want to work with to find an appropriate design for you. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you find what you need. While RCTN is never quite as friendly as RCTQ, we still like to help folks with ANY stitching related question. CiaoMeow >^;;^<
