You're right - there are a lot of ornaments with writing on them - but they're different and some are quite nice. Others I like are by Angel Stitchin on pg. 13, Twisted Oaks - pg. 12, Homespun Elegance - pg. 14, DebBee's Designs - pg. 15, Handwork - pg. 18, all of them on pages 20 & 21, most of them on pages 22 & 23, more on pages 24 & 25, and even more on pages
26 thru 29. Yes, a lot of them call for speciality threads which I don't use often so I'd just substitute with DMC colours I like - on small projects like this, that is very easy to do.
