JCS N/D Cover

The picture I wanted to be on the cover made it! It's a gingerbread house designed by Sharon Pope. I'm so excited that this piece made the cover (jumping up and down wildly in my mind because I'm at work and have to behave). Elizabeth (the editor) even mentioned me in her editor's column, One Stitch Ahead.

I hope everyone likes gingerbread houses as much as I do. I even have a needlepoint stocking (waiting impatiently to be stitched) with gingerbread houses on it. Maybe I'll try to have it ready for Christmas next year. I'm not too sure that will happen because I've got one on order for my niece-in-law that I've promised to have ready for Christmas next year.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through with the Name of God by My Big Toe Designs that I'm working on. The goal is to have it completed for Christmas. I should be able to meet that goal.

I want to know how everyone likes the gingerbread house. It goes on sale on the newsstand on 11/03/09.

Oh great - now I want ginger snaps or those ginger bread cookies my MIL would buy - iced with chocolate on the bottom...

It arrived today and I *love* it. And I'd love to do it as well. Not that I don't already have enough Christmas stuff that I don't have a place for.

And it does make me hungry looking at it.

I'm SO glad you like it! Maybe if they get positive feedback on it I'll be asked for other ideas. I can't wait to stitch it myself but it will probably have to wait until I complete the current project and the needlepoint stocking that is my next project. Sigh!!!
