Has anyone heard anything more about NN being picked up by another manufacturer?

What we heard in the shop, which I think a lot of folks know, is that the reason they finally went out of busines is that the head dyer for them wanted to leave and form her own business. As I understand it, that person is in the process of setting up a new handy-dyed threads business, with some restrictions about not being able to use the actual formulae/colors from NN. IIRC, there is a name for the new company, but I don't remember it. AFAIK, the family that had been involved in NN hasn't announced any plans to re-open. I don't think they sold the name to anyone else - at least not that has been announced.

So, I believe that we can look forward to another company coming around which may be similar in products to NN - but run by the person who was formerly the chief dyer there. If we get any more info, I'll try to remember to post it. Likely there will be some info at TNNA in California this month or at the Nashbille show next month.

In the shop, we're selling out of the NN at a discount. And I'm searching replacements for the NN threads (4 per colorway) in an Orna Willis design I'm going to teach next month. It's a quandary - I certainly don't want to have to go through redoing the other dozen or so threads for each colorway, if I can't find close enough. So far, I've found a Caron colorway that will do - almost exactly for one, and enough NN for about 3 colors, and a Carrie's that works for another. And a couple in WDW, couplw in Crescent - leaving me only 4 to go!
