OFF TOPIC - Hanna has blown through NH

No wind damage. Lots of localized and street flooding. I have water in my basement. Heard the power blip around 3 AM. NH seems to have survived relatively intact.

Some areas had 6 plus inches of rain in just a few hours. In about 15 minutes, I'm going get dressed and head the grocery store and see if the ponds up the street are over the road. Which will mean I have to turn around and go the other way as I'm not about to push my new to me car through the water if it stalls.

I'll survey the garden after I put the groceries away.

Yes, do not drive through water, they say it is often the last bad decision many people make. As an engineer you can appreciate your tires are your only small contact with terra firma and it doesn't take much water to sweep you away. Stay safe.

The information they pound into us about driving through water is that if it's high enough to hit your hubcaps don't do it. If you get water in the engine of the car it's a major problem.

I'm married to a car geek. I know not to get in over the axle. I've also pushed out enough idiots who have done so...
