ATTABOY!!!

Good for Kurt!!!!I guess this will re-fire up his enthusiasm for hockey!!!! The good part is that I am sure the school provides transportation to and from games!

Hey, that's a good point. Though, poor Cheryl is definitely the practice carpool slave. Around here, the private schools enforce the kids must travel on the bus to the games. But, I don't think the public schools do. But, it's a different situation with how hockey is funded, etc. - so I'm guessing you're right and the school provides transport for the games.

Hey, my DH was a high school and college jock - and still ended up being the one seemingly sane, though quirky (he is a goalie), of his siblings. Although, being a jock has its benefits - since for DH the folks moved to VA the summer before his senior year in high school. Normally a miserable thing to do - however as he immediately started on the varsity football team - voila - instant group of friends and acceptance.

But, Lucille, I suspect you're right. OTOH - you never know. The hockey kids (with brains) can be all right. I've coached several guys, had some as youth ref colleagues as well, that really were great kids, and didn't drive their parents totally insane - and have grown into truly delightful young men (the kind you wish you had the girl for, so to speak).

I wasn't at all thinking bad things about his being a Jock or equating being a Jock with being dumb. Only that he will most probably be a very popular kid , especialy with girls, and that makes for an interesting teen time.

Hmmm - I didn't think about the girls thing. I was actually kidding when I replied back. But, I do think about the ego thing, and stubbornness coming out. Wasn't Cheryl telling us that he's already using that disgusting teen body spray stuff? It's all interesting times...

But I think most boys (aka men) do the ego and stubbornness thing, not necessarily just those who are successful. lol

Yeah - but the jock thing can make it worse - lol

Huzzah that for most games are with in a 20 minute drive and for the longer ones, the booster club (reminder to self, make donation) provides coach style buses. (Hanover and Berlin)
