Cherry Ames is one of my all time favorites! I can't imagine that they reprinting, though. I guess as a time capsule and comparison to today's world they might sell, but nursing is certainly nothing like this today! My favorites were the first 4. They were so full of propaganda, and a nurse's life was so glamorous even in the army!

Are we talking war propaganda, or the propaganda that one went into nursing to date doctors and handsome patients?
I loved these books! I had hoped my daughter would love them too but could never find them. Do you think a 13-year-old could still get interested? ;-)

War propaganda. I think they were a tool for recruiting girls to go to nursing school (just the first 4) They talked about a special scholarship available. Of course there was a lot of talk about the handsome doctors and other soldiers in the Army!
