I have to say the new Dr.who series is a huge disappointment so far. Something's are not meant for remakes. The writing and plots are very poor as science fiction goes. The vampire one was just plain silly. If it improves I will watch the reruns as from now I will stop wasting time and give it a pass. Very poor as fiction goes and terrible science fiction. ruby

I only watched last week`s episode because a Dalek was in it - don`t like the new Doctor Who, but otherwise that episode was good. Trouble is, Ruby, we`ve all "grown up" since we first saw it!

I loved it ! Perhaps because apart from Corrie, I don't watch much television, I am less demanding. I don't view television as real, therefore to me that was like one of the old episodes, with slightly updated special effects. I was very relieved they did not upgrade a Dalek - I thought the still hysterical way it screamed "Exterminate" etc. was good.

I am also relieved that the door was still open for a Dalek to reappear lol Imagine that, a Dalek with feelings lololol Exterminate ! Exterminate !

I see the Doctor still keeps company with a nice young thing lol

Missed the first 10 minutes due to a meeting that ended with someone setting off the alarm system at the church and my offering to strip search a fellow committee member in the parking lot (he is considering my offer). But did see most of the Dalek related activity. El-e-vate. El-e-vate. And the plunger arm end as killing tool.--I will never look at the humble bathroom plunder the same way again!! Dawne

Well there is a lot of garbage out there in TV land but some good well written fiction if you want to look for it. I really enjoy BBC Canada and tape some of the comedies. To me the new Doctor who is like a badly written novel. The problem is the writing I think It is to flat , one dimensional. Too bad because with some good writers it could have traveled well into the present and been a good series. I like my fiction to be a little more layered and engaging.
