OT: for the cat lovers

I thought of my old guy today, they have just installed new balcony windows, 17 ft wide so it was a two day job and the windows now have a lovely sill, just made for a cat to lie there, over the heater and getting full benefit of the sun. He would have loved it.

Sheena -- aren't you going to get another cat "baby"? I can't imagine living without a kitty! I imagine you miss the old boy quite a bit -- he did do some funny things now and again. Maybe you should treat yourself to a new cat as a holiday gift to yourself?!?!? CiaoMeow >^;;^<

It's nice that you get to have a "step kitty" every so often -- it helps a lot. It hasn't been that long since he crossed the Rainbow Bridge so you might change your mind later on. I have decided that I will always have 2 kitties as it helps when one of them makes that final trip. {{{Sheena}}}} I bet you are an awesome step mom to those kitties who come stay with you when their family is away. There is a cat on the sill now ! I had friends in to dinner last night and having made that remark to one of them, she turned up with the cutest little kitten for the sill. She is not a pet person and I didn't like to tell her it was made in China and the fur just feels too nice and bothers me somewhat. It is the perfect cat of course lol

I've seen those - they creep me out too....

They have them for dogs too, one of which looks and feels just like Puff.

Is it one that moves? Those are creepy. I bought one of the still ones in Salt Lake City and put it in my carry-on luggage a few years ago. It was the talk of the security area! I can only imagine what they thought. She's a nice little kitty and looks just like my father's cat. When the real cat come to stay for a few days, the first thing she does is go whack that imposter across the room! My cat sitter complains about it all the time and has to hide it.

As far as I know it does not move lol Then again, it went on the sill last night, I was up at six and made a seafood casserole to take to a lunch and have been out all day, so can I really be sure it does not move ??? Dare I turn round and look towards the door ???

There are new ones out that breathe and purr. You can watch their little chest go up and down.

I'll stick with my live furkid, who eats, woofs, gives great kisses and poops. I'd rather clean up after Puff than live with something so creepy.

These must be the new generation of those virtual pets the kids all wanted a few Christmases ago. You named it, had to feed it, take it for walks etc. Then when they lost interest, it died. I felt it was sort of a mixed message in a way. Creepy !
