OT: Hurricane Ophelia

3-day chart for this one doesn't look bad but the 5-day (above link) is a bit worrisome. The way they have it doing a loop and coming back at the FL/GA coast could mean trouble next week... Hope everyone stays safe!

yes... as you can imagine, we're watching it anxiously here in Houston. Not worried about us, just about further trauma to all the folks who are already suffering.

If you pray...

hopefully she'll get bored and head off to enjoy the cooler Atlantic waters.

I haven't watched The Weather Channel yet today but just checked the weather on AOL. Looks like the storm is still off the coast of South Carolina. Let's hope it STAYS there or heads off east. We don't need another hurricane this season!!!!!!!! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Correct then supposedly heading here but since it will hit in the Carolina's and cross land, we are not in any danger, other than that the ocean is perhaps even a little warmer than when Juan came two years ago, that's not good.

The latest forecast I have heard, and still quite low probability, is that it will gradually move north to the outer banks of N. Carolina. Then, supposedly, there will be high pressure to the east, and low pressure to the west, and it will pick up speed, head over the Atlantic, straight for the Canadian Maritimes. Just about the best scenario for the USA, and the worst for Canada.
