Funny you mention Marmite. While I can always find Marmite, I couldn't find DS some Vegemite for a gag birthday gift, so I settled for the Marmite. He comes down before work, eats a spoonful and off he goes.
Frankly, the stuff smells terrible but DD did manage to choke down some on a cracker after he did.

Thanks for the info. We recently got "honey jelly with coffee & rum" from a local beekeeper we met at our farmer's market. The stuff is FABULOUS! Just a little on some toast, or a scone - just delicious. Fortunately, only a tiny bit is needed - but this could be addictive. We also got "brambleberry" honey - which has a lovely bit of tang to its taste.

I never did like Marmite. Or Bovril. Or Oxo Even though I was born and bred in the North of England I always loathed and despised all of them, they all tasted fake to me.
