OT: New Photos

Hi Guys, I have added several new albums to my Webshots stiff. One for the Bahama Cruise last month and one for Mardi Gras 2004 and for 2008. There is only one photo in the 2004 album!! ALL of the photos were downloaded to the computer in .tif and Webshots won't read that! The one photo was sent to us by a friend -- he took it at the Bacchus Ball and sent it to us in .jpg! I'm not sure if I can get Webshots to read .tif -- might have to see if DH can find the *$*(#$&% photos from 2004 and download them again only in .jpg format. That's it. I'm about 3/4 of the way done with the Winter bell pull and when I finally get that out of the way, I'll be sure to take photos to post. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

You can download a 30 day free trial of Nikon NX, once done, simply click on the folder of tiff and one by one, ask the programme to Save As jpeg.

Works for me, I shoot in RAW which is even larger and when I want a jpeg that's what I do.

Check for "batch processing" capability when choosing the image/image-converting software. I'm not advertising in this group for any of them specifically, but there are some where you can select an entire group of files and say convert to jpg, convert for web, etc. Most of the software boxes will have little product comparison charts/checklists and a visit to their website may net you a trial version. Some of the batch processing lets you set parameters like "shrink size only if file is over ___ mb"...

A little off the subject, I am personally also thrilled with the "slimming" feature that came with my new camera's software. Drops 10-20 pounds off people without looking strange.

So maybe you want "image convert" "batch processing" and "slimming" on your software feature list.
