OT: Prayers gratefully accepted

My Mom was admitted to the hospital last week, with an infection. Since then, she's been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and kidney failure. On Tuesday, she suffered a major stroke. Right now, she's in a Hospice unit at a "comfort only" level. Friday is her birthday - she is / would have been 88 years old, so she's had a good long life.

Since I'm the only daughter living close to her, all the care and final arrangements are on my shoulders.

And, I'm teaching my largest CATS classes in Hershey next week.

If any of you are so inclined, please keep me in your prayers for the next few weeks. I'm going to need all the help I can get!!

More importantly, Phyllis, WHERE are you, so those of us in the area can provide hands-on help?

Thank you all for your concern and kindness.

Mom is a fighter - we thought God was taking her last nite, but she pulled through for at least one more day. I'm thinking now that she's determined to make it to her 88th birthday - tomorrow.

I'm doing as well as can be expected here, thanks to a loving and supportive husband, Les. Here in Big Red territory (Lincoln, Nebraska) he will wait with me, with the game in the background. I'm so thankful to have some needlework to occupy my hands while waiting.

Thanks again for your prayers.
