Does anyone else go to the Holiday Revels in their area?
Most years a friend and I go to the Revels, and we consider it the real "jump-start" to our holiday season.
Yesterday we went to the Washington Revels show and introduced another friend to the Revels. The theme this year was "French Canadian Revels" and the music was terrific, although it didn't say "Christmas" to me in the same way that more familiar traditions do. We were in the third row, right on eye-level with the stage - perfect seating to fully enjoy the fancy footwork of Pierre Chartrand, who quite literally outdanced the devil! A friend of mine had one of the leads and did a great job with it.

To top it off, when we came out of the theater, snow had just begun to fall. *That* was certainly unexpected and added to the holiday feeling.
