OT - spending money

There will be a stitching marathon that'll be held next October at a local mall. To raise money we're supposed to get sponsors and have items for sale -- embroidered ribbons, kitted ribbon packs, stitched designs, etc.



I'm trying to figure out how intricate the embellishments on my dolls should be for maybe $10(??) versus simplifying the embellishments which would allow me to make more ($5??).



If you were in a mall and noticed such an event, what items would entice you? How much would you spend?

How much money I spend depends on whether the money raised would be for a charity. I normally spend more when a charity is the recipient. Also, I tend to spend more if there is some sort of drawing or raffle involved. I'm also a sucker for items that are decorative for Christmas or items that my dog would enjoy. As to how ornate an item is, that doesn't really matter to me, but how well made an item is happens to be very important.

First- well made is more important than embellishing.$5-10 is the max I'll spend on a "charity" item.
