With two TVs ... one tuned to ESPN for the dads, one tuned to Disney or Nickelodeon for the kids. Don't want you to have to referee between the real 3-year-olds and the overgrown 3-year-olds as to whether to watch sports or cartoons!

And be sure that room has a hand-washing sink to get snack residue off hands.

A friend said her kids loved going to one shop that had a variety of toys for all ages and genders, so be sure you also have a toy box.

Hmm...don't think so. Food tends to travel and sticky travels even farther.

Dianne,

Just for clarification....

I worked in a store that sold video game systems, games and accessories. We didn't rent them. Folks generally didn't wait until late in the day, just because they wanted time to play the game before they had to get some sleep. Much like I wouldn't run out to a needlework store for a new chart at 9 pm, knowing I was going to bed at

  1. (Altho, when I run out of a specific color at that hour, I'm tempted!)

Good point! I hadn't thought of any of those probabilities.

Yes, but you wouldn't bring home anything in your paycheck...at least, I wouldn't. I'd spend it before I got out the door!

And just further clarification, I wasn't talking about 9 pm. "Late" in my day means 4 or 5 o'clock. After that, it's evening. After that, it's bedtime (10 pm here). If we rent a video or DVD, we normally watch it starting at 7, unless it's a really long one. Then we'll start it at

6:30.

Ahhh, the power and the pitfalls of words.

One of our grocery stores has a container of antibacterial wipes next to the shopping carts, for those who want to wipe down the areas Baby will be teething on.

Perhaps you could keep a container of wet wipes right by the door for moms to wipe sticky hands with on the way in. (And if they don't do it automatically, prompt them.)

You go, girl!

But it's in completely the wrong location. You need to move to Massachusetts.

I'm surely bigger.

But it probably comes down to who'd spend the most. *grin*

I'd almost consider relocating a few years down the line....
