Hi all,
I was in Boston this weekend with my Model UN team. I had taken quite a bit of yarn with me and appropriate needles, since it is my custom to make the girls (and some of the boys) scarves. It turned out I didn't have the right size needle for one of the yarns I wanted to use, so I figured I pop over to the needlepoint and yarn shop near the Ritz on Newbury Street.
Now, I've been to this place before and haven't much liked it. If I were looking for stitching supplies, I would have gone immediately to Needlepoint of Back Bay, since they are wonderful. But I figured I knew what I wanted and it couldn't hurt to pick up a pair of needles there. Heh. All they had was Addi Turbos and they wanted $30/pair for them. Now, Addis are not my favorite, but I have bought a pair recently and I KNOW that they shouldn't cost more than $15 or so. I also noticed that they were selling what is surely Fezza Alp yarn as if it were their own in-store produced mix.
Buyer beware.
