Sheena Put A Hex On Me

Well Sheena's hex finally worked - we got close to 52 cm of snow overnight - it stopped for about half an hour and it's snowing again. My sister and a few of her galpals left for the Dominican this morning

- I'm thinking I should've gone with them. Okay Sheena, now cut it out!! :-))

So why do you hate me so much that you won't hex ME? I love winter. I love snow. But, noooooooooo.

Really Lucretia. I should've marked this OT - sorry. Thought I'd better say that before we got jumped on. It is very pretty out there

- I'm just glad I don't have to go out to work in the a.m. - I can just admire this stuff while sitting on the couch doing some needlework. Our road was so bad today that the big plow had to keep backing up and making a run for it up the hill - he must've done that a good eight times. This is the 11th storm of the season but definitely the worse ... so far.

Sharon (N.B.) - who would gladly send Elizabeth some of this snow - there's enough for everybody :-))

Women who love snow ought not to live on sheltered bays....

Ah, but then I wouldn't have one of the two things I love more than snow.

And I'm not unhappy with this one. Just sayin' that if Sheena's sending snow around, a little sheltered bay ought not to be an obstacle for her.

OTOH, you could all have come down here. Mardi Gras is over, thank goodness (except for all the crazies in the Quarter, who will keep it going until midnight). All my guests have gone home, we have cleared up the kitchen and the dining room, I have taken a couple of Tylenol, and now must rest up for a while. Gotta go to church tomorrow, not because I have been sinning, but there is a noon service for which ushers are needed, and as we are (a) free during the day and (b) only a short distance away, we get called upon.

It has been really nice this year. My health is better than it had been for a while, and the 'roids the docs have me on give me energy, so we have been to a parade nine of the last thirteen days or evenings. Some days were too cold for us to bother venturing out, but others were delightful. Today was the best. 70F, bright sunny sky, no wind, and a pretty parade to watch.

I'm totally exhausted - as one should be at the end of Carnival - and going to bed for the next twelve hours. Will probably also sleep in on Thursday and Friday. Having also had several sets of company over the last two weekends, I really need to do something about cleaning the house. Ah well, that can be a Lenten Discipline, in which case I can spread it over several days.

Well Sheena and Elizabeth, the next storm system is due this weekend. Just make it so I'm home from DD's Saturday AM game and it is cleared up by Monday so the kids can go back to school

Oh no, could you keep it over there Cheryl - or better yet, aim it at Sheena - they don't an inth of the snow we have so have lots of room for a good dump. :-)

But down here we were never saying "I wish summer would end and winter start" - what is they say about being careful what you wish for ???
