Worked on Cards

After FINALLY (pfffbbbtt!) getting off the phone with April yesterday afternoon, I started to get my carcass in gear and work on my many task lists, one of course being cards.

I hope that ya'll do not get mad at me and think I totally cheated, but at Michaels they have these boxes of really pretty cards from DCWV (they made those awesome paper stacks!) Anyhow they are premade of pretty paper and you add to them your own decorations, ribbon, stickers, whatever. So I did 40 and have about that many more to do.

At least I am getting something done!!

That's not cheating at all. Everyone has their own preferences for how much to do yourself, and how much to buy already done. If you think about it, using patterned paper at all, instead of stamping (with stamps you carved yourself!) or painting it (just freehand, no stencils!) on paper you made yourself with your own paper mill, could be considered "cheating" by someone's standards.

I bought DCWV's Christmas stack, and one of the sheets is wavy lines with an ornament border. Then they also have the wavy lines plain, and the ornament pattern plain. Well, I liked the combo so much, even though the proportions were wrong for a card, that I cut a strip of ornaments and glued it to a piece of wavy lines, basically copying the design of the full sheet but with narrower pieces. How's that for cheating? ;o)

I also got 43 cards done now. I posted most of them on webshots, A few I kept off for surprises then I shall post them! I have about 15 more to go myself!!!

Well your doing better than me. You know how many I've made? Zero, zilch, nada, none. I will make one for my secret santa, or maybe I already have one left from last year. I haven't even looked in my cabinet that's full of cardmaking stuff. Maybe I'll be in the mood in a couple months and get next years done early. Yeah right!
