A few years back, she made a stitching bag from plastic canvas, using needlepoint stitches.
Well, after being unhappy with trying to tote my portable Ott lamp, I'm borrowing her idea, scaling it down a hair and going to stitch myself up a padded bag for the lamp.

If you need any help designing ti let me know. It is a lot simpler than it looks. Just don't make the same mistake I made. Don't use soft yarn. It gets really fuzzy as it wears, and harder to see the deisgn. I need to make a new one sometime.
