Trying to Find Pattern

I was moseying thru some sites one day and came across some designs that I really liked and know my friend, who is very hard to buy for at Christmas, would adore them. However, I forgot to make note of the designer, etc. They were patterns of ladies - elongated I guess you'd say - with big picture hats - kinda French looking. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sharon,

Are you thinking of the ones that Heritage Stitchcraft is doing now? I have a mental blank on the designer's name.

Or the Birds of a Feather Seasons ladies? Here's a link to one:

There's also some Bothy Threads ones called "Ladies who Lunch":

I seem to remember seeing something like that in a recent "The Stitchery" catalog.

Are you thinking of John Clayton's Elegance line, Gill? That's one that I thought of, too. If you check

, they had a few things before CHristmas. One is called "Ladies' Day Out", and the other is a Lanarte kit by Sarah Moon, I think called "Romantic". Hope that helps!

Hmmmmm I'll have to check The Stitchery catalogue ... but these ladies are long and skinny but very posh, glamourous.

That's it, Louisa. I have always liked John Clayton's designs, but these ladies are not for me.

I think the Oast House, which I have in my living room is one of his. My Mum just loved oast houses!

I checked The Stitchery catalogue and on page 11 there are a couple of patterns that resemble what I saw - they're called Lola and Rosa - really cute. Man oh man, a girl shouldn't go checking catalogues - I see some that I know I just can't do without. Thanks. :-))

Oh hush up, you will stand accused (along with me) of making nasty posts.

Glad to be of service. I have to try to boost the U.S. economy, don't I ?

They are cute, aren't they?

I like his designs, too. His Circles series has some nice designs, and I like his "Seaholly" floral panel, too. It has a misty sort of look, which I find very appropriate to our weather here, so often!

I checked that site out too Gill and nope, none of those ... tho' I do have a few of John Clayton's Elegance ladies and two or three of Valerie Pfieffer's birdies. Thanks anyway.

Yup, I have some of those birdies in my next to-do pile. As soon as my chickadee from Crossed Wings is through!

These ladies sound familiar, if I remember them I wil give a holler.

Here's a tip, I always add the site to my favourites at once, then I can also erase them later. I've saved quite a few of them before forgetting and then closing the window.

Graham Ross of Ross Originals.

Perhaps the Gemstone Series. These are Mucha pictures.

Thanks Rosemary, but nope, not these either. The ones I'm thinking about aren't so detailed - very Parisienne looking I think. Groan - how I wish I'd put that site in my Favourites.
