Hi Krooz!

Nice to meet you! Your posts are fun to read - and I cracked up at the one about your poor mind being to little to be out on its own! Hehe!

Monika is right - I am in Zurich, Switzerland - but I am Norwegian. Hubby works in an office or out flying around the world, so I have plenty of time to sit in my little workshop and "practice my craft". Have been hand-building lately, and come up with some fun pieces - like a big onion to have my onions in in the kitchen - and a garlic for my garlic. Being fired soon is an upside-down mushroom to keep dried mushrooms in. Good fun.

What really got me going was that I bought myself some plaster forms that are shaped like a half globe. In these, you can make a whole globe - just wait til the clay is strong enough and then lift it up and keep going until you have made the whole ball. There is probably something on this in the books in your library.

I have tried using my wheel and sometimes get pretty good results, but centering the clay is still a big job for me, so those ball forms are great. Also, I need more shelves for drying stuff, so am holding off with working on the wheel until I have more storage capacity in the workshop.

As to a webpage, you don't have to actually sell/send your stuff, but for people looking for someone to build custom furniture, they could see the quality of your work, and the span of it. You could use something like Geocities - just to make a little exhibit and offer contact details. The site is free, so any jobs you get out of it would be a plus.

Great to meet you!
