2007 Resolution Quilty Projects

1.) Complete quilt from 3rd "your pick" swap for my young cousin--she'll be 6 when she receives it. 2.) Complete an 65th anniversary quilt for my grandparents from blocks I inherited from Grandpa's sister that were made by their grandmother. 3.) Complete blue and yellow king sized quilt. Quite a few of you donated yellows to the project, and I want to again say thanks! Really pleased with how it's looking so far.

Both of them are lovely. I like the blue/yellow combination. I did a Trip Around the World in various blue and yellow flower prints. Photos are toward the bottom of

  1. A stained glass quilt from a pattern called "Julia's Lily" (it's hard to resist a pattern with your name in the title :)
  2. The crib set (quilt, bumper, etc.) for DD's first baby.
  3. Quilt some of my unfinished tops.

The B&Y log cabin is so bright and cheery, but at the same time very calming. Clever you - the perfect balance!!

The blue in the warm wishes has just the sort of blue I was trying to describe, and it goes well with a bright lemony yellow and crisp white. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Now, Mary, that one's a giggle. Daze is a good name. I'll have to try that too. Polly

That's a beautiful quilt Leslie! I love the appliqued flowers to enliven the log cabin. What a clever idea! I look forward to seeing the quilt after it has been quilted - it always adds another dimension. Hurry!

These are not "fabric" crayons, just the regular Prang crayons. They have a higher pigment to wax ratio, so will give a stronger color faster. The heat "forces" the color into the fibers and removes the wax at the same time.

They work really well for things that won't get a lot of washing, like wall hangings.

Terri so far I don't quilt but even when I do I will still have to cook and clean because it is just Dad and me. Funny, things that use to bother my Mother and didn't bother me, now bother me, like the kitchen cabinets being piled high with junk.

Me too. They gave me a nice box of crayons when they took away my sharp objects and started the new medication. Polly

if taking away sharp objects included taking away some of your sewing tools then new medication must have been necessary!
