I'm a little late in checking in, but yes, I watched the opening ceremonies. Canada should be proud!

Ours (east coast) started at 9 p.m. and ran till 12:30.... I set the "Record button" ON, (thankfully), and fell asleep a bit after 10 pm... Watched the rest this morning! GO Vancouver! It was a great opener! ME-Judy

Other than a slight glitch with that one piece not coming up I think it was great.

It was "live here in Vancouver, maybe your news stations didn't want to give up their time slots? We had preshow things from 4 and post until 11!

I was glued to the tv for the entire opening...loved the whales swimming across the floor via photographic imaging! How do they do that? Glued to the tv tonight to watch and will be similarly attached for the next two weeks! I love the Olympics...Canada must be so proud. Donna

Hope things go well. Disappointed about some folks who did some damage..enjoy the event people. Don't demonstrate.

Isn't it nuts, Jenn! I'm on the other side of Seattle, same time zone as the Olympics yet they wait until evening to show anything. It's maddening as I love to watch those who have literally worked years so that they could qualify and compete.

Blah to NBC. Yesterday was Saturday. Today is Sunday. They have no excuse to do this to us!

I'm going to have to ask DH how we get CBC, I know we could at the time of the Beijing Olympics, but I don't know which channel we have to tune in to to get it, but I know you can get it in Seattle, not sure about Tacoma, though, Jenn, sorry.

oh dear, my bad, we can watch CBC, but just discovered that this is the first olympics in a long time that CBC isn't covering apparently another canadian tv company outbid them :-(

It is CTV that got the Olympics this year.

Canada just won Gold in the Men's Moguls! First time for us, Alexandre Biladeau just broke the jinx for us!!
