A little bragging (very little!)

Ok, so I've been pattern testing and making samples for Connecting Threads here in Vancouver WA for a little while now. I've seen a few of my "creations" in the catalogs, but now I have a web project being featured. I know, it's not THAT big of a deal, but my kids are excited.

This is a bag that I made for them. Kinda cute.

This is a table topper that I made. They are finally showing my quilting designs, which I made up for this kit. I drew a pattern on Golden Threads to line up with the prairie points. This one was pillowcased with the prairie points instead of bound, and I used a little BoNash adhesive powder to hold the layers still while it was being quilted - worked quite nicely. Projects before this only showed my piecing work, so maybe I'm improving?

I don't know if I can say NAYY, because I do get paid to make these up for them, but I just had to share that I have something that I made in print. Kinda dorky I know, but still kida of a thrill. LOL

Wow! I'm impressed. You definitely get to brag and then some! You are talented and it's wonderful that your talent is being showcased. Congratulations and keep us posted. I'm sure much more of your work will soon be recognized and showcased.

Congratulations Lorraine!

No wonder you (and the children) are excited. It's a splendid step forward; and *not* dorky at all that you wanted to share.

I love the bag pattern - and you have made it so beautifully: all those bias edges and not a curve in sight! . In message , TwinMom writes

I'm so glad you've bragged. How else would we know that one of 'our own' was getting the respect and recognition that her creations deserve. Of course we don't 'need' somebody to come pat us on the head constantly and say "Good Boy", but it just so nice to be acknowledged. Thank you for sharing. We're proud of you. Very proud. Polly

Congrats Lorraine!

Connecting Threads is one of my favorite online shops. I have properly drooled over their website and catalog in the past. It's nice to actually 'meet' one of the designers!
