A Wonderful and Glorious Hug!

My Dearest Friends,

I am stunned ! I never thought that I would be ever on the other end of a hug quilt. I love making blocks for other peoples hugs and hearing about their joy of receiving a quilt. I cried and murmured"oh, my God" about 50 times! it is so, so beautiful and the quilting is unbelivable. Every block has been quilted in a different pattern, and the colors you used are all jeweled tones and the border color is just perfect! I love the back also! What a great idea! I must tell you that my broken heart is smiling again. I miss my daughter Jamie more that I can ever say, but with this wonderful hug and all of your love, I know I can continue on. I love you all. Helen in WI P.S. I will take pictures in the next few days.

I've participated in a few hugs. But when I read a message like yours Helen, I kick myself that I haven't participated in every single one of them! I hope your Hug continues to provide you comfort for a long, long time. Thank you for posting this reminder for those of us who have skipped making a block for whatever reason.....there really is no good reason for not contributing. I think you just prompted my first New Year's resolution. Thank you back! I can't wait to see the pictures!

That's what Hugs are all about Helen, dear. To bring you the sharing affection of a large group of friends in one 'package'. So, on those hardest of days, you can snuggle with your Hug and gain strength from its combined power. Do keep in touch with us - even if it is just to lurk, so that you know you need never be alone - even in the middle of your night; someone here will be 'up' and awake with you. . Helen, I was honored to be a part of your hug and knew that our love would wrap you in the feeling of how much we want to hug and comfort you. We can not be there in person moment-by-moment of pain and loss but we can give you something to hold you close and maybe, just a bit, carry your pain with you. God bless you. Polly
