Thanks to all of you who've welcomed me, expressed interest in GRANDMA-2-GRANDMA and the batiks these Tanzanian grandmas raising their AIDS-orphaned grandkids create. AND for the tip about posting pix on www.webshots, which I've done. So you can see some of my African wallhangings (and even better) the "bibis" (grandmas) creating their wonderful fabrics! Surprised how many of you are in the Northwest - I'm from Portland.

Bibi Jann - I was awed by those pictures. The quilts are beautiful and so are the women. The clothing is so colorful, makes me want to change my dingy shorts and tee.
