Who finds the Hancocks of Paducah site quoting prices at 1/2 yd just irritating as all get out? And who also finds that she has to think and rethink how much "units" to order when needing yardage?I swear if they weren't the only site I happened across that had solids (yes real old fashioned boring solids) I would have just up and walked away. I needed solid black. For something. But then went to the quilt store and got something that wasn't solid black that is going to work better :-) Along with a few other things I could not live without. And soon will have some strange amt of solid black from H of P. Whose prices are no way near as good as they used to be back in the day ...OK done with the whine -- I feel better. So what if I burned my finger trying to light the grill and then found we had no aloe or anything else to put on it and then when I went out to see how the chicken was doing discovered the gas had run out and then had to fight my way thru a bunch of yellow jackets to get the chicken off the grill and am now cooking it in the oven and we are never going to have dinner tonite at this rate. I lied I wasn't done with the whine!Thanks for listening!Ellen

I have found other sites that also quote 1/2 yard prices. It doesn't really bother me. I guess I am one of the few that has had fairly good luck with them. The longest they have ever taken to get me an order was 11 days, and that was with a holiday and a Sunday in there.Sherry Starr

I *was* a math major in college lo those many years ago so theoretically I can multiply and divide by 2 but I found when I was ready to order that my brain was thinking "do I need 3 yds or 4" and when I looked at the screen I had typed in 4. And one of the whole points of this was to have running yardage and not piece cause it was going to be for a border ...

Item # 9738 Solid Amish Black $6/yd.... but they are sometimes out of stock. I need to get up the courage (and $$) to buy a bolt of that from them and a bolt of Kona snow from somewhere :)
