An update and a whoohoo!

I posted about my MIL expecting me to make a quilt for her two bosses for Christmas while at the same time commenting that the quilt I had made for her was going into a yard sale.

I got some great advice from you all about how to handle that situation and the end result was..........I just ignored it and made comments from time to time that I was just so busy doing quilts for members of the family -- which was true. LOL. It was not brought up again and I don't know what my MIL got her bosses for Christmas. None of my beeswax. hehe

The whoohoo is....we are moving to our own home at the end of March. It has two -- (yes two!) garages. One for the DH to work on cars with and one for me to work on quilts!!!! whoohooo!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to fix that thing up and set up shop!

Thanks for listening y'all, Debbie

Good job on handling what could have turned into a nasty situation!! Congrats on the new home, too. Whoo-hoo indeed.

Wonderful news Debbie! I have wondered a couple of times what you decided to do about the quilts for gifts situation - and I applaud your decision and the way you handled it - yay for you! And good luck with your new "shop" - it's such a joy to have a designated quilting / sewing space. Best wishes.......
