Hi everyone! Some of you are facebook friends so you already know that I am back in Western New York after moving to Las Vegas last fall to live with my sister and brother in law. For one reason or another that just wasn't working for me so here I am back in Penfield! I love my sister dearly but as much as she claims she really really wants me to live with her....it doesn't seem to be the case, at least doesn't (or didn't) seem so to me. So I'm back in the rainy part of the country with my daughter, son in law and three lovely little granddaughters. The youngest was 1 last month and the older girls are just turned 3 and soon to be 6. I'm no longer doing full time child care but since their house has been up for sale most of my things are in storage so I haven't been able to sew since my return.
But from what I understand the prospective buyers accepted a counter offer so we may soon be moving. And to a house that I have only seen from the street.
I have two granddaughters who have recently become engaged and I'm planning to make them each a YBR quilt. Since I have my pattern somewhere in storage I ordered a new one from The Quilted Bear just a few days ago and it arrived this morning. I must say this is some of the best service ever! I do have a package of Hawaiian fat quarters I won years ago on the online shop hop so I'm planning to use those, all I need to do now is either find one of my rulers of buy a new one. Then I can get started on cutting and sewing the blocks for the wedding quilts though I doubt I will be able to do much more until after the move.
