Ok, I now have 30 something of these adorable little Margaritaville tropical blocks put together. DH's friends birthday is October 21 so I'd really like to get this one put together. But as I have been working on these blocks the past few days during "break" time - I have been contemplating how to do the sashing on this. I want to sash the blocks but I also really, really need to in order to enlarge this quilt some.
But what do I do? With all of these bright colors - what kind of color would I use to sash? I thought about a white/off white, that it might really make the blocks "pop" out - I thought about black, with these bright colors it might make the blocks almost look like stained glass......
or take some blocks and just go start laying them on different color fabrics at JoAnns and see what they look good up against......
I just don't know what to do. This photo is a small sampling of the first few blocks I did. For anyone who participated in the Margaritaville swap - then you know all the colors I am working with here and would really appreciate your input! Would appreciate anyone and everyones input/recommendations.
