I usually buy my batting at Walmart (don't roll your eyes, I don't have much choice in our small town ;-). However, the batting available there now is totally unacceptable. So I need to buy online. What are your recommendations?
I've had good luck ordering batting from Hancock's of Paducah. Their prices are actually pretty good. Looks like they've got a sale going on some of the battings now. I've never had any problems with their service on batting or notions -- the only stuff I've ever ordered from them.

I buy Warm & Natural or Warm & White (100% cotton and very nice to work with!) from Joann using a 40-50% off coupon- either online or I drive 100+ miles to the nearest store. Since I buy it by the 40 yard bolt, it's a pretty big investment but it lasts me a year or so. Depending.....
Bought a roll of Hobbs Heirloom 80/20, "my" batting , and received it overnight (they had it shipped from Hobbs in Waco). Great price, great service, great batting.

Actually Polly, they were out of one of the rolls of batting that I wanted, and they said that they were getting it in in about a week, and would that do for me? It did, so it did arrive a little later than was usual. Maybe they were out of stock when they went to fill your order, because another salesperson filled their order first. That sometimes happens, in the best of stores. They should have alerted you though, if that was the case. If it was just a thing with the freight company, then maybe the drivers are a little scared of delivering to the black water, gater infested area, where you live, and the Fed-Ex Air boat was in the shop.
That's the good part, buying a bunch so we don't have to shop around or shop again for a while. For those of us who use lots of batt, or just find comfort in having it to pad the walls , quantity is a good thing. ;-D
have wonderful service and their shipping has been very reasonable. They encourage customers to either email or call them for a shipping quote to make sure the cost of shipping is fair and reasonable. They carry Hobb's and also Matilda's Own (which is my favorite for my family living in cold weather country). Judie in Penfield NY
