Online Critiques - Thanks

I have just gotten done reading all of the public and private replies to the Online Critiques threads. There's lots of good stuff in there (along with the normal noise and jerks of course) and it's really helped. There's even more of a need than I first imagined for something different than what's available online or even offline, frankly. Of course, I welcome any efforts geared toward helping woodturners learn and expand their work be it in any existing or new forum. Unfortunately, most of those existing forums just can't technically, socially, or in many cases legally do what's on my (and others) mind. I am also interested in helping woodturning gain awareness from outside of our, often, closed borders.

This isn't just some idle topic as far as I'm concerned. There's a real and concrete project that is in the process of being developed here. Of course, there's far more discussion and planning needed. I am seriously grateful for your insights, opinions and details that were presented in those threads.

If anyone is truely interested in something different and has the time, patience, and willingness to work on it, please contact me privately. If needed, I'll set up a private website forum or listserve to help facilitate the discussion. The greatest need isn't necessarily one of website technical details for this project but is more along different lines. So, don't feel like you need to know anything about websites or even critiquing itself. Like I said, it's something "different."

Again, Thanks.
