Last pod canopy delivered this evening, and I have the cheque. :)
And the boss man is keen for me to do more things like it, but has agreed that a greater lead-time woul be a good move! :D

Congratulations! I hope you let them know that "Poor Planning on Their Part Does Not Constitute and Emergency on Your Part", and that you let them know you FSOL fees for future work. ;-)
Happy for you! Barbara in FL
Congratulations! And hopefully the payment was adequate. Now relax, with a cuppa tea, while thinking of the next project. Emily
The next FIVE projects are already started! :D
Me haz a happy too!
Oh, I did! And Shyam, the boss, knows the headless chicken stuff was his fault, but treats it all as a learning curve - which is fine by me.
Well, Beverly put it much better than I could ever do. ;-) Congratulations! BTW, what does FSOL stand for?

I may have it wrong. I think Kate refers to her especially hurried projects as "Faster than the Speed OF Light" sewing ergo FSOL.
Usually just FTL - Faster Than Light: popular SF contraction, along the lines of Star Trek's warp speed and B5's hyperdrive.
I sometimes also refer to lighting the afterburners on the sewing machine, like a jet fighter on take-off!
So I was close! ;-) I knew it had something to do with sewing at top speed.
Ah, sorry, my brain wasn't working properly. If I'd thought for a minute... I hope I'm excused. ;-)
